The department of Urdu, University of Jammu today organized a Book Release function in the jam-packed Prof. Gian Chand Jain Seminar hall of the Urdu department. Khalid Hussain, Noted Urdu and Punjabi short story writer preside over the function while Noted Writer Naresh Nairang was Chief Guest on the occasion. On the occasion Poetry collection of Nand Lal Nairang Sarhadi “Tameer-E-Baqa”(Tehqeeq,Tajziya, Tadween) edited by Noted Urdu scholar from Canada Dr.Syed Taqi Abedi was released. The presidium was also shared by Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed HOD Urdu University of Jammu and Prof. Shohab Inayat Malik Principal IMFA,Jammu University.
In his address Khalid Hussain congratulated the editor for bringing out the poetry book of Nand Lal Nairang Sarhadi. He said that the poetry of Nand Lal Nairang Sarhadi are on the bases of reality of life. He depicted realities of life in very interesting manner. Khalid Hussain described that the poetry of Nairang Sarhadi covers all the aspects of life. He said the function is one of the most impressive one and highlighted qualities of the head and HOD Urdu Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed.
In his speech address Naresh Nairang Highlighted the qualities of poetry collection of Nand Lal Sarhadi and appreciated the work of Dr.Taqi Abedi about Sarhadi’s poetry .He also explain the importance and role of Urdu and Hindi poetry in the development of languages. He also appreciated Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed , HOD Urdu for organizing a book release function , in which poetry collection was released. The Urdu poetry in the book of Nand Lal Nairang Sarhadi is brilliant added Naresh Nairang. In his speech Dr.Taqi Abedi said that Urdu department, University of Jammu is one of the most vibrant department of Urdu world. The literary and academic activities organized by the department are the need of hour. He also offered his full support of HOD Urdu Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed and congratulated HOD Urdu for organizing a book release function in which poetry book was released.
In his address address Prof.Shohab Inayat Malik also congratulated the editor and Naresh Nairang for bringing out the poetry book of Nand Lal Nairang Sarhadi.In his welcome address Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmad, HOD Urdu University of Jammu congratulated Dr.Taqi Abedi for his books. Prof. Mohd Reyaz Ahmed also appreciated the books and their role for the development of Urdu language and literature. He also welcomed all the guests who attended the book release function.
Besides students, scholars, faculty members and civil society members also attended the lecture. The lecture was attended by respectable citizens also, those who attended includes Seema Anil Sehgal, Dr.Farhat Shamim,Raj Kumar Behrupia, Dr.Abdul Qayoom,Dr.Raza Mehmood, Dr. Ajaz Ahamed,Dr.Javed Shahabadi, Pyare Hatash,Khurshid Kazmi, Ameen Banihali, Irfan Arif,Fozia Mughal, Dr.Nasib Ali and others. The proceeding of the programme was conducted by Dr.Abdul Rashid Manhas while vote of thanks was presented by Dr.Chaman Lal .
