Dr Mohd Abbas Awarded by “Young Scientist Award” at SKICC Srinagar on 17 October 24
Dr. Muhammad Abbas is a distinguished medical physiologist, educator, mentor, author, poet, and a nature enthusiast with a unique perspective. He currently serves as a Senior Resident in the Department of Physiology at GMC Doda, where he has been teaching medical physiology for the past few years. His academic and research accomplishments are impressive, having published over 25 research papers in reputed national and international journals.
Dr. Muhammad Abbas has earned numerous accolades in various fields including academics, research, culture, and literature from state governments, trusts, and foundations across India. His contributions to research were recently recognized with two prestigious awards, the “Young Scientist Award” and the “Scientist of the Year Award.” These honors were bestowed upon him at the 2nd International Conference, ALCIAS-2024.
It is an eminent achievement for getting such honoured awards both for Dr Muhammad Abbas and the aristocratic medical college GMC Doda. Over 500 participants from myriad institutions with diverse professional fields, medical, agriculture, veterinary, and aquaculture sciences participated in this mega and serene event (International Conference (AI-CIAS) on ‘AgriTech Intelligence and Beyond: Cutting Edge Innovations in Agriculture and Allied Sciences’ organised by Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, SKUAST-Kashmir at SKUAST-K Srinagar in collaboration with AFTEFS and VITAL BIOTECH, Kota, on September 15th-17th, 2024.
Notably, Dr. Muhammad Abbas is the first physiologist from Jammu and Kashmir to receive these prestigious awards.
The event was graced by esteemed guests, including, Dr. Himanshu Pathak, Director General of IGAR, New Delhi, Prof. S.K. Sharma, Additional Director General of ICAR, New Delhi, and Prof. B.R. Kamboj, Vice-Chancellor of CCS HAU, Hisar.
