PLCS organized a workshop on “How to Prepare for a Successful Interview”
Progressive Literary & Cultural Society & PLCS Students’ Forum organized a workshop on “How to Prepare for a Successful Interview” on 28th June 2022 on Google meet online platform.
The moderator of the event, Sakshi Chaturvedi (B.A. III Year, RTMM) commenced the event by telling the relevance of interviews in an educated individual life. She then introduced the speaker of the workshop, Dr. Shamenaz (Founder & President, PLCS). Dr. Shamenaz in her speech gave various information tips to prepare for a successful interview.
She said that, “preparation is the key to success. One should review their skills, experience and qualities before appearing for an interview. An individual should research about the organization he/she is applying to and should make some practice questions before appearing for an interview. An interviewee should dress appropriately for an interview.
He/she should be careful about his/her body language. First impressions are very powerful so one should greet everybody at the entrance with a smile. Personal appearance, positive attitude, good interest and enthusiasm, proper preparation, good knowledge of one’s role, giving concrete examples of skills acquired and good career plans creates a good impression. So an individual should pay attention to all these things before appearing for an interview as it will lead to success. And if an individual is not selected one should not feel depressed and consider it as an experience.”
After the lecture, in the question-answer some students asked some questions related to the topic. In the end, Sakshi Chaturvedi proposed a vote of thanks. Students from Colleges of Prayagraj, Jammu, Hyderabad attended the workshop.
