Inter-Hostel Sports competitions begins at MANUU Hyderabad:
Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing a week long InterHostel Sports Week for about 2000 Boarders (Hostelers) of Boys and Girls Hostels from May 30 to June 4, 2022. Chess, Carom, Table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, Volleyball and Football competitions are part of the event.To create awareness about the importance of physical fitness and health, 3K RUN for Boys and 2K RUN for Girls was organised today within the Campus. The Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan flagged off the event and spoke about the importance of waking up early in the morning and doing some kind of physical exercise to keep oneself fit. He also expressed his happiness that the sports event in the campus is being held after a gap of two years. With these events the University campus has become vibrant, he remarked.Mr. Shahbaz Manzoor of BA 2nd Semester won the 3K RUN among Boys while Ms. Nafisa Khatoon, D.El.Ed. won the 2K RUN among the Girls competition .Prof. S M Rahmathullah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Zair Hussain, Controller of Examinations, Prof. Mohammed Abdul Azeem, Proctor, Dr. Syed Alim Ashraf Jaisi, Dean Students’ Welfare, Prof. Shakeel Ahmad, Consultant, School of Sciences were present. Prof. SK Ishtiaque Ahmed, Registrar conveyed his best wishes for the event. Prof. Mushtaq Ahmed I. Patel, Provost, Boys Hostels welcomed the dignitaries and participants of the RUN. Dr. Viquarunnissa, Provost, Girls Hostels proposed vote of thanks. Both the Provosts appreciated the efforts of Dr. Md. Kalimullah, Deputy Director, Physical Education, Dr. Khanday Pervaiz Ahmad, Warden & Coordinator, Boys Hostels and Ms. Firdaus Tabassum, Warden & Coordinator, Girls Hostels and other office staff in organizing the event.Large number of officials, staff members, students of the University were also present.
